“We just dropped Quincy off at his kindergarten orientation and wanted to let you know how grateful we are for his experiences at Little School. He is socially, emotionally, and academically prepared and we have you all to thank for that. Especially during this crazy time! We already thanked Rebecca for her amazing love and instruction over the last two years but wanted to express our gratitude to you all as well. We could not have been happier with his time at Little School and wish you all the very best in this year ahead- we miss you already! We will be sure to stay in touch and visit!”

“Every day includes new adventures and discoveries at the Little School on the Hill. Barbie, Jen, and Rebecca are wonderful, patient teachers who guide and inspire the children in their care. There is a wonderful focus on play and on using one’s imagination to create, predict, and experiment. The children spend time outdoors whether exploring in the woods, biking on the patio, swinging on the jungle gym, or splashing in the small pool, everyday, no matter the season, as long as it’s not thunderstorming! During the school year Barbie brings in other educators to offer programming in dance and in science from Riverbend, and this year she’s adding music instruction to the great appreciation for music the teachers already share. My son, turning 5 this fall, has been at the Little School for 3 years. It has been a fantastic experience for him and he has learned so much. My younger daughter started with him there just this month. It’s been a great transition for her. I highly recommend the Little School for your little one.”

“Our experience at Little School could not be better. Barbara, Rebecca and Jen engage students in creative problem solving, expose them daily to the beauty of the outdoors, challenge them to communicate clearly and effectively and ensure they treat others with kindness and respect at each turn. As a life long educator myself I am inspired by their approach to early childhood learning and feel confident that my child is getting the love, care and education needed to develop into an independent, confident, deeply curious and caring individual.”

“My son has been attending the Little School on the Hill for some time now. The special attention and continued creativity to get all kids involved in learning has been amazing. I have looked into many schools and was lucky to have found a place with the care that Barbara, Ms. Rebecca, and Ms. Jen have for all the children there. The products used in teaching the children are always up to date and help to foster the children incorporating individuality in every way. I LOVE the nature based teaching that my son receives living in the city. They offer a weekly visit from an environmental education center that offers plenty of environmentally-oriented activities, bringing all kinds of bugs, bones and reptiles to stimulate the children. The exploration and adventure in learning that the Little School on the Hill offers my son is just what I was looking for!
